I heard there was a recall on FiberChoice Multivitamin?

The recall for FiberChoice Multivitamin was initiated after we discovered fish gelatin, a known allergen, contained in one of the raw materials of the product, which was not declared on the product label for the multivitamins being recalled.

The fish gelatin consists of the following species of fish: cod, pollock, hake, cusk, haddock, redfish, sole, and flounder. The recall extended from March 20, 2007 to May 1, 2007 and affected 90 count (16oz.) plastic bottles with the UPC #5714500581, which is located on the side of the bottle in black lettering.

FiberChoice plus Multivitamin is the only FiberChoice product which contains fish gelatin, a known allergen, derived from pollock, hake, cusk, haddock, redfish, sole, and flounder.

What is FiberChoice fiber supplement?

What is Inulin?

Inulin is the fiber source in FiberChoice fiber supplements. Inulin occurs naturally in thousands of plants including common fruits, vegetables and grains like bananas, asparagus and rye. The FDA categorizes inulin as GRAS which stands for Generally Recognized As Safe and is fully accepted as a food ingredient.

What is the correct dosage for FiberChoice products?

The normal adult dosage is two tablets per day or 1 tablet per day for children (6 years of age or older). Adolescents can take a full adult dose of two tablets per day. We recommend you start with one to two tablets per day and gradually adjust the daily dose to meet your requirements and expectations. The maximum daily dosage is six tablets per day. What is the expiration date on FiberChoice products?

Labeling for products like FiberChoice fiber supplement is regulated by the FDA and there is no regulatory requirement for expiration dating on dietary supplement products. As a dietary supplement, FiberChoice products are not required to have an expiration date.

FiberChoice products are sold over the counter - without a prescription. We are not aware of drug reaction or drug interaction issues with inulin, calcium or chromium picolinate. It is always a good idea to discuss a change in diet with your doctor.

Is FiberChoice fiber supplement Kosher or vegetarian?

Who can use FiberChoice tablets?

I have food allergies, can I still take FiberChoice fiber supplements?

FiberChoice tablets do not contain protein derived from milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat or soybeans. FiberChoice fiber supplement does not contain any wheat by-products or gluten.

Will FiberChoice products help with regularity?

Everyone’s system is different. FiberChoice products are not a laxative; as such, FiberChoice products will not work "instantly." Regularity effects should be noticeable within 3 to 7 days. You may safely increase your dosage up to 6 tablets per day.

Why don’t I have to drink water when I take FiberChoice products?
